French Alps for Crystal

Following the same open brief for social media as the Andorra trip a couple of weeks earlier, I was asked to shoot various resorts in the French Alps.

The resorts were Val Thorens, La Plagne, Les Arcs, Val D’Isere, Tignes and Avoriaz.

I gave myself a very busy schedule spending a day in each to do time-lapse, GoPro gimbal and FPV along with stills and then would drive at the end of the day to the next resort.

Like Andorra I was working alone and with complete freedom to plan my days. This was a liberating way to work and amazing to be riding everyday, but it was also quite difficult because you try and do too much and adopt a scattergun approach.

Quite often I’d be on a busy ski lift, running a time-lapse with the GoPro and gimbal in one hand while in the other hand I’d be shooting stills with a bulky DSLR.

We all would have liked more snow and more time but ultimately Crystal were very happy with the results.
